Increasing Faith Part 2

Scripture Text

Habakkuk 2:1-4 KJV

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. [2] And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. [3] For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. [4] Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

Quote

Change in expectation calls for a more significant measure of faith because change challenges us to believe beyond what we expected to be true.

Bishop Joseph N. Roberts, jr

General scripture

Hebrews 11:1-3 AMPC

Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. [2] For by [faith-trust and holy fervor born of faith] the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report. [3] By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.
